Griffin Internet Showcases European Broadband Provisioning, IP Storage Solutions and MAX Broadband at Comms Channel Expo

Comms Channel Expo, 10th-11th May 2006, Stand CC440

Griffin Internet is coming to Comms Channel Expo with an exciting line up of partner products that are available over its own multi-million pound national IP network. The Griffin team will be demonstrating their highly successful broadband provisioning product, MOPS, which has now been extended to offer partners a European servicing capability. Also on show will be the recently launched Homeworker and Office MAX up to 8Mb* broadband products which are now available in over 5000 BT exchanges. Furthermore the team will also be showcasing Griffin’s SANServe range of IP Storage solutions which launched earlier this year.

John Dawson, MD, Griffin Internet: “We are coming to the Comms Channel Expo show this year with some new products that will genuinely excite the channel community. We provide IP services exclusively to the channel and do not have a direct business model. All our investment and time is spent on creating products and services that are designed to improve the service our partners offer their business customers.”

Griffin Internet offers sophisticated and affordable solutions through its multi-million pound national MPLS network. Griffin’s national network is designed to deliver IP based services solely to the business community.

Product Line Up:

1. Managed Online Provisioning System (MOPS)

Griffin Internet’s ‘Managed Online Provisioning System’ (MOPS) has now been extended to allow European provisioning capability. Sold direct through the channel, this will be the first time a one stop provisioning system has been available to UK businesses on a European wide scale. European MOPS enables major UK-headquartered corporations with European offices to manage their own broadband packages more efficiently and from one central location.

European MOPS is designed to help speed up the processes and administration involved in the provisioning of branded DSL to staff based in offices and in homes across Europe. Offering a simple online portal, speedy installation times and simple monthly billing processes, the system will initially be available in 6 major European countries including France, Germany and Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK.

2. White Label SANServe IP Storage Solutions

Selling IP storage and hosting solutions has never been easier! Griffin Internet has launched a new range of dedicated server hosting solutions that can be easily sold and managed. The Griffin SANServe range of services provides a level of reliability, scalability and performance that are just not available from legacy storage solutions.

The SANServe solution has been built on a state of the art IP Storage Area Network (IP SAN) which has recently been deployed across the Griffin national MPLS network into three separate hosting centres. The SANServe range of services has been developed in response to the demand from resellers for a partner branded, easy to sell and provision hosting solution to meet the SME IT Manager’s increasing need for SLA backed reliability whilst retaining the ability to scale.

Customers will have the option of having their data mirrored between Griffin’s three hosting centres in London, Derby & Leicester and away from the head office to ensure that if a disaster does occur then the business can be operational straight away without the loss of any business critical information.

3. MAX Broadband

Griffin has now quadrupled its broadband connectivity speeds with the launch of MAX broadband at speeds up to 8Mbit/s for home and office workers. The increase effects both download and upload streams; the maximum downstream speed is now 8MBit/ whilst the maximum upstream speed has increased from 256Kbit/s to 832kbit/s. The increase in speed across both streams will enable Griffin’s partners to offer a greater reliability of services including VoIP, email and general web usage. The service is available from April onwards in over 5000 BT exchanges nationwide.

*Top speeds can vary significantly, in particular because of a user’s distance from their local exchange.
