Leased lines & Ethernet circuits

Griffin offers circuits from 2Mb/s leased lines up to multi-gigabit Ethernet circuits suitable for direct Internet access, MPLS VPNs and point to point connections. We provide circuits from all of the major UK network operators giving us one of the largest footprints for coverage within the UK for high speed Internet and site to site connectivity. National and local Ethernet is very competitive across the UK. We offer a 99.9% Service Level Agreement (SLA) on our leased circuits and a 99.99% SLA with a failover option. All of our Internet leased line and Ethernet services can be supplied as a managed service with router included, or as an unmanaged 'wires only' service. Griffin proactively monitors all managed circuits on a 24/7 basis.

Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)

EFM mixes new technology with 'old world' copper in the first mile. EFM is important because it is the next step in the transition to fast, reliable and affordable IP connectivity. Ethernet offers true un-contended, symmetric and guaranteed bandwidth which is compatible with Griffin’s bespoke QoS (Quality of Service) products and services.

Speeds from 1Mb/s to 20Mb/s* can be achieved over multiple copper pairs using EFM technology.

ADSL backup

2Mb/s leased lines and Ethernet circuits are available with a backup solution in the form of a second service over ADSL. Customers with business critical services requiring a 99.99% service availability are advised to take this option. In the unlikely event of a service outage Griffin will refund up to 20% of the monthly recurring charge, which is directly related to the amount of downtime. The standard ADSL backup service is an IPStream Connect MAX Premium circuit.

Wires only Internet and VPN

This service is suitable for Partners wishing to supply their own hardware, maintenance and support packages. We offer a 99.9% best efforts SLA as standard with this service.

This solution is designed for Partners wishing to install and support their own hardware with an experienced first line support team.

Wires only point to point

Griffin offer off-net point to point and point to multi-point services as a wires only service. Griffin is uniquely positioned to offer competitive pricing from major carriers across the UK.

Data rates

Griffin offers Partners the ability to buy bandwidth separately from the circuit speed, enabling customers to plan future growth without worrying about high set-up fees for additional pipes. Partners could for example purchase a 100Mb/s circuit with 10Mb/s committed data rate and can increase the CDR as and when required.

End user liquidation protection**

Griffin is the first to be able to offer a liquidation protection which limits the cancellation penalty to 12 months on any Ethernet or EFM circuit, whatever the contract term.
