Griffin invented Managed Broadband and is the leading supplier of this white label approach to the voice and data channel. VARs become their own ISP selling connectivity packages without the need for high investment and specialist staff. Griffin aggregates multiple suppliers to give you the choice of cost and quality.
Griffin offers bandwidth capping on VSP provisioning platforms to allow Partners to manage bandwidth costs on an ongoing basis, control contention and customer experience.
The example above shows that capping unwanted protocols such as Peer-to-Peer (P2P) on an uncapped VSP can drastically reduce costs. In this example the Partner saves 10Mb of bandwidth. VoIP and VPN traffic have a relatively predictable usage profile whereas P2P will consume as much available bandwidth as it can where a limit is not in place.
Most VSP platforms run at an average of between 20 and 50 users per Mb, giving a guideline minimum estate size of around 500 lines.
