Multi VLAN is a unique Griffin service allowing an Ethernet leased line to be split into two virtual connections (VLANs).
Griffin then runs MPLS VPN traffic across one VLAN and direct Internet access across the second VLAN. Partners are able to utilise both networks across one link, negating the need for separate connections and therefore reducing cost.
For example Partners could install a firewall between VLANs to manage access to the Internet for their customer’s MPLS VPN users, thereby allowing them to offer Internet access to private users whilst still carefully controlling content.
Multi VLAN is available across all Ethernet carriers and in various resilient failover modes.
